Loom and Leaf Mattress Construction
This mattress is fully compromised with foam. There are five different foam layers that are using, which come in around 11-12 inches in thickness. Dense polyfoam is used firstly, with a layer around 5.5 inches. This acts as the foundation for the mattress. You then have a two-inch transition loft pad after this. This is essentially a layer from the transition from the foam support beneath it. Then, on the top, there is a 2.5-inch layer of visco-elastic memory foam, which weighs in at five-pound. This layer gives the bed contouring support and deep pressure relief. There is then a two-inch lawyer of gel-swirl memory foam on the top, which weighs four-pound. This provides the mattress with a comfortable and soft feel.
One feature that we really love about this mattress is that there is a special gel panel on the top layer, which has been designed to assist with regulating the temperature. This is essentially cooling gel, which is in a laminated sheet, which will set just underneath the cover. You won’t notice it, as it is extremely subtle. However, despite being discreet, it has a huge role to play, ensuring the bed is at a cool temperature throughout the night so that you remain as comfortable as possible.
Organic Cotton
An organic cotton cover is used to wrap the mattress. An added 5/8 inch of soft foam is quilted into the cover for enhanced comfort. This creates a comfortable and very soft cover, which gives the bed a premium feel and look. Unlike a lot of the newer mattresses out there, this mattress also smells great too, which is always a benefit. The cover cannot be removed, so you do need to spot clean the cover using water and a mild detergent.
