Of course, we’re not talking about clinical depression here. If you do have that, you should visit a mental health professional to get help. However, for the rest of us, we need to keep our composure in order to survive an economic depression. Beating yourself up and getting anxious about how it will all turn out is counterproductive.

Instead, you should keep yourself busy and get to work. Learn new skills, read books on financial savings or engage in volunteer work. All these things will help prevent sadness and depression from overpowering your productivity.
